Fades and shot pack questions

The shot pack is the set of yew2K pages that run an auto-green for a specific shot type: fades, catch-and-shoot, step backs and quick stops. Each page has its own On/Off switch and its own millisecond value.

How do I trigger the Left Fade and Right Fade auto-greens?

Turn each page On in the menu, then use its trigger in game. Left Fade is R2 + tap L1 — "auto-green for fades on the left side of the court (while moving left)." Right Fade is R2 + R3 — "auto-green for fades on the right side (while moving right)."

Each page has its own value from 100 to 1200 ms in 5 ms steps. Tune them separately with the early/late rule; a value that works for one side does not have to work for the other.

How do I set a Step Back auto-green?

Switch the Step Back page On. In game, tap D-pad Down. In yew's words it "automatically activates after clicking down on the d-pad, performs a step back and times the shot for you."

The shot value runs 100–1200 ms in 5 ms steps. Default is 660; yew runs 710. Early → raise it, late → lower it.

The Step Delay page controls how long the script waits after the step back before it starts shooting. If your step back animation is fast, lower Step Delay; if it is slow, raise it.

What is Step Delay in yew2K?

Step Delay is the "delay before it starts shooting after activating the step-back auto-green; faster step backs use a lower value, slower step backs a higher value."

The range is 20–1200 ms. Default is 150; yew runs 125. It is a separate value from the Step Back shot value: Step Delay sets when the shot starts, Step Back sets how long Square is held.

If your step-back shots start before the animation has finished, raise Step Delay. If they start noticeably after you have planted, lower it.

What does Quick Stop do in yew2K?

Quick Stop is triggered by a touchpad tap. The script runs a quick stop — an L2 no-dip that takes roughly 23 frames instead of 37 — and then takes the shot.

The page ships Off. Its timing is split across three more pages: QS Pause (pause before the stop), QS Delay (delay before the shot) and QS Shot (the shot hold).

Pressing X/A bails the combo like any other shot in the pack.

What are QS Pause, QS Delay and QS Shot?

They are the three millisecond values that shape a Quick Stop shot. QS Pause is the pause before the stop input. QS Delay is the delay between the stop and the shot. QS Shot is how long Square is held — the auto-green value for that shot.

Defaults are 150 / 150 / 660. yew's published values are 000 / 000 / 705, meaning no pause, no delay, and a slightly longer shot hold than the default. Tune QS Shot with the early/late rule like any other auto-green.

How do I set up the Catch Shoot auto-green?

Switch the Catch Shoot page On. In game, the trigger is D-pad Up: tap it as you catch and the script times the catch-and-shoot for you.

The value runs 100–1200 ms in 5 ms steps. Default is 660; yew runs 715. Tune it with the early/late rule in online MyCourt, separately from your standstill Auto-Green value.

What are the default values for every shot pack page?

Every shot page is Off/On with its own millisecond value (100–1200 ms in 5 ms steps, except Step Delay at 20–1200). The table lists the trigger, the shipping default and yew's published value from September 3.

yew's values are a reference for a specific jumpshot and controller, not a target. Use them as a starting point and tune with the early/late rule.

What is the Standstill page in the yew2K menu?

Standstill is the standing auto-green: the same thing as the Auto-Green page. It refers to the R3-click shot taken with the left stick inside the centre.

When yew's settings notes list a Standstill value alongside the fade and catch values, that is the Auto-Green value. There is no second number to tune.

Why did Insta-Stop cancel my fade?

Insta-Stop fires a stop input before shooting off the dribble. When you shoot a fade, that stop input can cancel the fade animation.

Three fixes. Turn Insta-Stop Off when you are running fades. Or set it to Left-Trigger mode so it only fires while L2/LT is held. Or hold the left stick in the fade direction through the whole animation.

yew runs Insta-Stop Off.
